Taken behind the houses on Kingsway.
This row of 4 was built privately by Parrott. The backdoor on balcony; cellar ground level at back. They were built on concrete raft. ( Council wouldn't build there because land bad) Had to conform in style to the Council houses.Father Holmes was out of work for a while , then beacame a postman in about 1934. (had 30 mile roundup in the hills - Saltesford etc.)
