Noted in 1861 census when Richard Wright lived there with his daughter and son in law Sam Pownell. John Wright lived there in the 1930s.

Bollington infants school, Lowther Street
The land and building were donated by Lady Lowther, wife of xx Legh of Lyme Hall, on the understanding that it would be used for educational purposes, and thereafter fall to the Crown Estate, which it did in the 1990s. More in the history section of the Happy Valley web site happy-valley.org.uk

Mrs Greg and Miss Amy Greg
Wife and daughter of Samuel Greg. Amy taught at Lowerhouse sunday school. Mrs Greg died April 1895 aged 85 see Macclesfield Courier 27th April 1995. Amy was her eldest daugher born 1840, died 1902.
