A Saxon postcard postmarked 1913. The picture was taken before 1912 – otherwise one would be able to see the new chimney at Oak Bank mill. Indeed, there is smoke rising from the old chimney up on the hillside.

Chapel, unknown
Location unknown. Photograph by G. Felix Watson, Park Green Studio, Macclesfield. The man in the picture is Bert Rich who married Gertie Longden in the 1920s. He is wearing a Church Army uniform, suggesting the date was around 1914.
The postcard dealer who sold this card to George Longden said it was from a collection of Macclesfield cards.
