    Bailey’s Yard, Grimshaw Lane

Taken by Bollington Civic Society History Group, April 1984. The new building was intended to be a house but planning permission was not given. It was then converted into a surgery for the local veterinary surgeon. The vet’s practice grew out of this building by 2015 and they moved to the redundant NatWest Bank building in Ashbrook Road. The sloping wall in the foreground is beside the steps up to the canal from Grimshaw Lane, beside the aqueduct.
