George Hobson, Edith Hobson and daughter Eileen Mary
George Hobson b. 6 January 1886, d. 21st April 1964. Served in the Royal Horse Artillery during WWI. Awarded British War and Victory medal.
Edith Hobson (nee Wood) sister to Bert, b.13th February 1884, d.3rd December 1953, married 25th May 1912.
Eileen born 10th June 1916 at 57 Grimshaw Lane. Later married Jack Jonkin 22nd June 1940.
The family lived at the Salt Box (site of the present Kingsway) before moving to Stakehouse End Kerridge, Adlington Road and then Macclesfield. George was the caretaker of the Wesleyan Methodist church and school till the mid 1940s.
