Wedding of Eric Henson and Mary Stubbs
The wedding of Eric & Mary Henson, nee Stubbs in about 1941. Mary was the daughter of John & Martha Stubbs, nee Lomas, of Sowcar Farm, at the bottom of Smithy Brow, technically in Rainow parish, and the picture was taken at the farm. Eric was later a prisoner of war.

Stubbs Family of Sowcar
Sarah was wife of Henshaw Stubbs, farmer of Sowcar. Len and mary were two of their many children. Len was killed at Salonica and is on the Rainow War memorial, Sowcar being within the Rainow boundary.
