Boat being removed from Bloors yard, Round Gardens

The steel hull of the narrow boat had been manufactured elsewhere, then delivered to Mr Bloor's yard in Round Gardens (behind the Dog & Partridge), where he spent many months fitting it out. The picture shows the completed boat being removed to be taken to the canal for launching into the water. Access into this yard for both the crane and the trailer was extremely difficult because of the very narrow street and the acute turns.
