Fred Slann is front row third from left, born 1 January 1895, birth certificate says born in 'Bollington Cross, Kerridge'. His father was George Slann, who was a coachman/domestic servant. Fred's mother was Ada Elizabeth, nee Woodward, thought to have come from Warrington (George & Ada married there in 1892).
While Fred was still a child the family moved to Mitcheldean in Gloucestershire.
