I suspect this to be a bridge over the river Dane, possibly at North Rode. STB

Fishing at Gigg Mill weir
This is Gigg mill weir. It is located on the river Dane about a mile below Wincle. It can only be accessed via public footpaths, the nearest road being half a mile away. The weir has been re-built in modern times. On the far bank, where the trees are in the picture, there used to be a paper making mill.

Palmerston Street Aqueduct
The finest structure on the Macclesfield Canal, the aqueduct carries the canal high over the town. It was built in 1829-31 together with the unique, all stone constructed, embankment. Notice the setts paving the street; these were only removed when the road was reconstructed in the early 2000s. Look closely at the left of the picture and you may see the ghostly image of a lady in a wide brimmed hat! The photographer wanted for soime unknown reason to remove this lady from the picture. Another has also been removed from the right side.
